my story

Behind Metal Sculptures

My name is Filip, I’m 35 years old, and I’m a sculptor.
I’m also a bass vinyl DJ, a snowboarder, a wakeboarder, a skateboarder (alas, a former one), the owner of two hunting dogs, a camper/traveler, a hiking enthusiast, and, well, an professional engineer during work hours.

My latest hobby is probably why you came to this site.
Well, a little more detail below

Two Sides of My Metal art World

industrial engineering

Starting in 2013, I began developing my career in engineering and design. Over the years, I progressed through various positions: designer, production engineer, and client manager. In 2016, I opened my own small business offering metalworking services: laser cutting, bending, and welding. I worked full-time on this business until 2020. Then, due to a relocation, I was forced to switch to a remote position, and since then I’ve been managing projects (still related to metal structures) remotely. My main areas of expertise:
Industrial design
– Office interiors
– Residential construction (common area interiors)
– Sport equipment (wakeparks, snowparks)
– HoReCa
– 3D printing
– etc…

steel art

In early 2025, while happily living in Warsaw, I suddenly realized: I want to be a creative person. And so I became a sculptor.
By June 2025, I exhibited my first sculpture at two music festivals in Poland, and then installed it for public viewing in the center of Warsaw.
In September, I was invited to participate in a contemporary art exhibition remotely (in another country), and by October, I learned that I had won the “Best Sculpture” award.
In total, in 2025, I designed and created more than seven sculptures and more than ten metal installations.
A distinctive feature of my art is the use of modern technology: I use parametric design algorithms (of my own making) and CNC metalworking technology. I stand at the intersection of technology and art.
Many of my works are published on this website, but about the same number are still in the making: the photos are from a phone and aren’t clear, the background isn’t a showroom but a dirty workshop, and there’s no beautiful pedestal or frame.
